Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue

Foundation Support

The generous support of these foundations helps RMDR continue its mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dachshunds throughout the Mountain West. Their contributions directly impact the lives of dogs in need and strengthen the community of adopters, fosters, and advocates who make our work possible. Thanks to their partnership, RMDR is able to provide essential medical care, behavioral support, and safe, loving homes for dachshunds who deserve a second chance. We are deeply grateful to these foundations for believing in our mission and supporting the lives we save together.

The Allen Foundation – Founded in 1991, The Allen Foundation carries forward the legacy of generosity and community involvement established by its founder, Marion Mathis Allen (pictured below). Throughout her life, Marion was widely known for her philanthropic spirit and her active participation in numerous charities and organizations. Today, the Foundation operates as a nationwide philanthropic organization, led by Marion’s grandson, David Casarotto, who serves as Chairman of the Board. Each year, the Foundation continues to honor Marion’s memory by supporting a wide range of charities and causes. Learn more about The Allen Foundation.

‘In all our efforts, we seek to remain true to the principles of our founder, Marion Allen, who created The Allen Foundation to encourage, both literally and metaphorically, “a house built with love.”’ – The Allen Foundation

We are also grateful for the generous support of our other foundation partners. Their contributions, alongside The Allen Foundation, help make critical medical care, rehabilitation, and second chances possible for dachshunds in need.
