🐾 2025 Was a Big Year for Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue 🐾

Because of our incredible community of fosters, volunteers, donors, and supporters, Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue helped 84 dachshunds in 2025—double the number we helped the year before.

These dogs came to us with many different needs—some needing routine care, others needing life-saving treatment, surgery, and rehabilitation. In total, RMDR provided more than $85,000 in veterinary medical care to help dachshunds get the second chance they deserved.

šŸ’™ Where your support goes:
• 95.7% of expenses go directly to rescue programs and foster dog care
• 84 dachshunds helped in 2025
• $85,252 in veterinary medical care provided

Behind every number is a story. Dogs like Frankie, an IVDD warrior learning to navigate life in his wheelchair, Bella, who found her forever home after a second chance, and Mac & Cheese, a senior dachshund now living a peaceful life in Salt Lake City.

RMDR is a no-kill rescue, and every decision we make is guided by compassion, dignity, and quality of life for the dogs in our care.

None of this happens without you.

Thank you to our fosters, adopters, volunteers, donors, veterinarians, and community partners who make this work possible. Together, we’re giving dachshunds across the Rocky Mountain region a second chance at life.
