Get ready for an afternoon filled with tiny legs, big personalities, and lots of dachshund fun! Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue is excited to be part of the Second Annual Millcreek Doxie Derby on Saturday, March 29th, and we’d love for you to join us.
What to Expect – This family-friendly event is all about celebrating dachshunds, with thrilling races to fun activities for all ages. But the best part? We’ll have some of our adorable adoptable dachshunds at our booth–stop by and Meet Rocky who is hoping to find his forever home! If you’ve been thinking about adding a dachshund to your family, this is the perfect chance to meet some of our sweet pups in person.
We’ll also be collecting donations—items like new toys, dog beds, blankets, collars, and other pet essentials are always appreciated to help us care for the dogs in our rescue. And donations to help pay for vet visits, vaccinations and procedures are always helpful. We are run by 100% by unpaid volunteers and in 2024 .95 cents of every dollar went to pay for medical services to help the dogs in our care.

Want to support our mission? Wear your RMDR t-shirt or sweatshirt and stop by our booth with your pup! We’ll have water for the dogs and some crunchy treats for them. Stop by to chat with us about fostering, volunteering, or other ways to get involved.
